Leadership that Reflects the Community

In 2017, Mid-City CAN is launched its inaugural Boards and Commissions Leadership Training program for City Heights residents and those committed to the work of Momentum Teams in City Heights. Today, we have expanded our program regionally to include more communities. 

This six-week training program trains and develops community advocates to serve on local boards and commissions. Our participants (cohort members) are passionate about serving diverse and under-represented communities (i.e. low-income, communities of color) that have historically been left out of official decision-making circles.
