Youth Justice interns Mariah, Israel, Sasha, and Kamor with organizer Alejandro were thrilled to participate in RFK's 2025 Transformation of Youth Justice Symposium in La Jolla from June 18-20! Mariah and Israel took the stage to share their unique perspectives with a diverse audience of over 40 stakeholders including teachers, principals, probation officers, and youth advocates. Day 2 saw Sasha and Mariah lead a powerful conversation on Ending Girls' Incarceration, collaborating with Youth Empowerment and the Office of Youth and Community Restoration. The interns shared their poetry and offered invaluable insights on best practices, proving just how transformative youth empowerment can be in these discussions.
