Join us for our next Youth Justice Momentum Team meeting as we continue building collective power to end the incarceration of girls and gender-expansive youth—laying the groundwork for a future where no young person is incarcerated.

This meeting will include a presentation by our friends at the Center for Policy Initiatives who will be hosting a workshop centered around how the County operates, what they're responsible for, and who the decision-makers are. All of this information will help us understand where, who, and how to demand change from our elected officials through organizing and people power!

Together, we’ll collaborate on strategy, uplift youth-led solutions, and organize around community-based alternatives to punishment and confinement. Our shared vision is bold but urgent: a justice system that centers healing, equity, and opportunity—not harm or punishment.

This is a space where youth voices lead and every community member is vital to the movement.

Reunión del Equipo de Impulso por la Justicia Juvenil

Acompáñanos en nuestra próxima reunión del Equipo de Impulso por la Justicia Juvenil, donde continuaremos construyendo poder colectivo para poner fin al encarcelamiento de niñas y jóvenes con identidades de género expansivas, y sentar las bases para un futuro donde ninguna persona joven sea encarcelada.

Colaboraremos en estrategias, elevaremos soluciones lideradas por jóvenes y organizaremos esfuerzos en torno a alternativas comunitarias al castigo y la detención. Nuestra visión es audaz pero urgente: un sistema de justicia que se enfoque en la sanación, la equidad y las oportunidades—no en el daño ni el castigo.

Esta reunión incluirá una presentación de nuestros amigos del Center for Policy Initiatives, quienes estarán facilitando un taller enfocado en cómo funciona el Condado, de qué se encarga y quiénes son los que toman las decisiones. ¡Toda esta información nos ayudará a entender dónde, a quién y cómo exigir cambios a nuestros funcionarios electos a través de la organización y el poder del pueblo!

Este es un espacio donde las voces de la juventud son el centro, y cada miembro de la comunidad es vital para el movimiento.
