Goal:
The Artivism 2026 Summer Program will focus on learning how to use art and creativity for advocacy. This year, students will be introduced to the topic of surveillance as a conceptual framework in which students will create public artwork drawing on AjA's experience and curriculum from their countersurveillance program.
Throughout the 4 weeks, students will learn how to use art as a tool for political and personal expression, and develop storytelling skills. In addition, students will develop public speaking, project management, and teamworking skills.
At the end of the program, the art will be displayed at our celebration where family and friends will be invited to hear the story of your piece.
