City Council Approves $2.5 Million for Henwood Park

Budget hearing

Youth Council and Mid-City CAN are excited to share that on Tuesday, June 10, City Council finalized the Fiscal Year 2026 budget and it includes $2.5 million to fund Officer Jeremy Henwood Memorial Park! The budget now moves to Mayor Todd Gloria for his signature to make it official. Thank you to Youth Council for your dedication and advocacy! We thank everyone involved who showed up at the hearings, signed an Action Network Letter, and responded to any other call to action that we made. Special thanks to the councilmembers for listening to the community and prioritizing a budget that reflects the people’s needs. Click here to tell Mayor Gloria to sign the finalized budget which also restores library hours in low-income neighborhoods and more. We’ll share an update as soon as the mayor signs the budget.
