Mid-City CAN (Community Advocacy Network) and the Sherman Heights Community Center partnered to host a free family holiday celebration for Sherman Heights and San Diego residents on Sunday, December 14, drawing hundreds of attendees. The event featured a toy drive courtesy of The Streets SD Car Club, which also showcased its lowrider cars and bikes. Festivities included ballet folklórico performed by Alma Del Barrio, circus performances by Fern Street Circus, an upcycling fashion workshop led by local favorite Claudia of Sew Loka, and a clothing swap hosted by I Love A Clean San Diego. Children also enjoyed the opportunity to take photos with Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the Grinch.
