For the last 10 years, the Improving Transportation in City Heights (ITCH) Team has been fighting for equitable transportation access for all young people in San Diego.
We believe that 2021 is the year for San Diego to make bold steps toward a transportation system that centers the needs of our communities.
Starting April, 2021, elected officials will be discussing and making decisions regarding the future of Transportation in San Diego. Many of these decisions disproportionately affect our BIPOC communities, seniors, folx living with disabilities, working-class families, and the LGBTQ+ community.
Among the many important issues that decision-makers will be addressing, there is a very real possibility to approve Youth Opportunity Passes: no cost public transit for young people up to the age of 24. Fare cost changes and several issues that heavily impact our local climate and environment will also be up for vote.
How do we make sure our community is heard over all the political nuance?
It's hustle time, folx! We need all hands on deck to let elected officials know that the time for justice in transportation is now.

Durante los últimos 10 años, el equipo de Improving Transportation in City Heights (ITCH) ha estado luchando por acceso equitativo al transporte para todos los jóvenes de San Diego.
Creemos que ya es tiempo que San Diego dé pasos audaces hacia un sistema de transporte que centre las necesidades de nuestras comunidades.
