Hello community,

We invite you to our next meeting with the Youth Justice Momentum Team on Thursday, July 16th at 5:30 PM at Mid-City CAN.

We are still in high spirits about the vote on June 25th, which initiated a study to examine and explore the creation of a Department of Youth Development in San Diego County.

However, the work is not yet finished. The fight continues, and we need more support to carry on with our efforts to envision a world where the incarceration of youth does not exist—where it is not even a possibility.

This world requires everyone's participation. It requires compassionate collaboration and thoughtful partnerships amongst County systems, community based organizations, youth, families and advocates. 

At the Youth Justice Momentum Team, we believe in this world.

Join us for our next meeting as we celebrate our big win and continue our organizing efforts.

Lxs invitamos a nuestra proxima junta con el equipo de Justicia Juvenil este mes el Jueves, 16 de Julio a las 5:30PM en Mid-City CAN. 

La verdad que estamos muy felices por el voto el 25 de Junio que introducio un estudio para examinar y explorar la creacion de un Departento de Desarollo Juvenil en el condado de San Diego. 

Pero el trabajo aun no se termina. La lucha sigue y necesitamos mas apoyo para seguir y continuar nuestrxs esfuerzos donde imaginamos un mundo donde la incarcelacion de ninxs no existe - donde no es posible. 

Este mundo requiere la participation de todxs. Esto requiere una colaboración compasiva y alianzas bien fundamentadas entre los sistemas del condado, las organizaciones comunitarias, lxs jóvenes, las familias y lxs defensorxs.

En el Youth Justice Momentum Team, creemos en este mundo.
