About Mid-City CAN's Boards & Commissions Leadership Training (BLCT)
In 2017, Mid-City CAN is launched its inaugural Boards and Commissions Leadership Training program for City Heights residents and those committed to the work of Momentum Teams in City Heights. Today, we have expanded our program regionally to include more communities.
This six-week training program trains and develops community advocates to serve on local boards and commissions. Our participants (cohort members) are passionate about serving diverse and under-represented communities (i.e. low-income, communities of color) that have historically been left out of official decision-making circles.
Boards & Commissions Leadership Training (BLCT) - NOW RECRUITING - APPLY TODAY!
We are excited to offer our third Boards & Commission Leadership Training this year!
Unlike our previous two cohorts, we will now offer this training opportunity in the fall instead of spring. Also, we are expanding our applicant pool to include residents from throughout the City of San Diego and the North County cities of Escondido, San Marcos, Vista and Oceanside.
