Join Youth Council for an art workshop with muralist Maira Meza. Maira will be leading our group with step by step instruction to paint a sketch. This workshop will be in preparation for our Youth Council table at Dia De Los Muertos in City Heights. All art pieces will be showcased at our booth along with our altar: honoring advocates and activists. RSVP is required for this workshop, this will help Mid-City CAN plan for seating and materials. If you are new to our Youth Council, join us!

Workshop materials are included with RSVP, materials: canvass(11x14 or 12x12) , easel, apron, mats and paint supplies.
About Teaching Artist: Maira Meza
Maira Meza is a Chicana artist,Muralist and Instructor who resides in San Diego. She loves to paint, using vibrant colors to depict Chicano culture. She is the illustrator of the award winning book “The Spirit of Chicano Park”. Maira is also a mother.
