Networking Night scheduled for June 23rd has been postponed.
In light of the actions occurring this month, we would like to postpone this conversation to a time that won't divert attention away from the important steps being taken in this moment. Thank you for your patience as we do our best to make Networking Night a space that we can share with each other once more.
Until then, I hope you can join our Youth Council in their continued efforts to hold police accountable. They are holding a community conversation a week from today, on Wednesday, June 17th, that is centered around San Diego's movement for an independent commission on police practices. This will be an opportunity to hear about the ballot initiative that they, along with other partners and leaders, have been working on as part of the San Diegans for Justice coalition.

Debido a las acciones de este mes, nos gustaría posponer esta conversación a un tiempo que no distraiga la atención de los pasos importantes que se están tomando en este momento. Gracias por su paciencia mientras hacemos todo lo posible para reprogramar la Noche de Conexiones.
Hasta entonces, espero que puedan unirse a nuestro Consejo de Jóvenes (Youth Council) en sus esfuerzos para responsabilizar a la policía. Tendrán una conversación comunitaria dentro de una semana, el miércoles 17 de junio, sobre el movimiento de San Diego para crear una comisión independiente sobre prácticas policiales. Esta será una oportunidad para escuchar sobre la iniciativa electoral en la que los jóvenes, junto con otros socios y líderes, han estado trabajando como parte de la coalición San Diegans for Justice.
