Phuong Le is a recent SDSU graduate, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Health Science with an emphasis in Public Health. She was born in Vietnam, but moved to San Diego at the age of 7. She quickly gained fluency in English and translated for her parents whenever possible. As a resident of City Heights for 16 years, she values the diversity in her community. She is also aware of the prevalent language barriers that many community members face. She wants to help be a part of the solution. Before joining Mid-City CAN, she was an intern at the Food Resources Center of the Catholic Charities Diocese of San Diego. In her free time, she likes to travel, explore San Diego with her friends, and read.
